Job summary

ABB’s NEMA Motors Division is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations at the St. Louis, MO facility. You will oversee a team of production operators and technicians, ensure safety and quality, and drive improvements to meet production targets.

This onsite role runs 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager - NEMA. You will develop the team, manage timecards, and coordinate with Quality, Planning, Maintenance,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production supervision or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and maintenance principles.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, work instructions, and production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations by supervising and coordinating team activities to meet production targets, manage schedules, provide backup supervision as needed, and maintain flexibility to support business needs.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards by enforcing ABB policies and procedures, investigating incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and maintaining product quality expectations.
• Lead, develop, and manage the production team through training, coaching, performance reviews, development discussions, consistent accountability, and administrative support including timecard approval and payroll coding.
• Drive operational excellence by tracking KPIs, coordinating equipment maintenance schedules, supporting root cause investigations, identifying process improvements and cost reduction opportunities, and partnering with Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, and Materials teams.
