Job summary

TrulyHired seeks part-time evening instructors to teach PLCs and robotics at the Upper Valley Career Center in Ohio. Courses run 4-5 weeks, two nights weekly, focusing on practical skills and employability.

Responsibilities include designing lesson plans, monitoring progress, coordinating with employers for real-world experiences, and preparing students for industry credentials. Prior teaching is preferred; PLC/robotics experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5 years' work experience in field of expertise OR relevant degree with 3 years in industrial maintenance and PLC experience.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with Control Logix 5000, RS Logix and HMI software preferred; Siemens PLC experience considered.
• Robotics experience in theory and application; FANUC & Yaskawa/Motoman a plus.
• Must hold or obtain Ohio State Board of Education Adult Education Permit; pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates student learning activities that encourage teamwork and employability skills.
• Develops lesson plans for classroom and laboratory settings.
• Monitors student progress using assessments.
• Coordinates with employers for real-world student experiences.
• Prepares students for industry credential assessments.
• Assists program coordinator with curriculum development and scheduling.
