Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection, processing, and handling across hospitals, PSCs, and in-office phlebotomy sites in the Sun City West area. You will ensure patient identification, sample integrity, and timely delivery to analytic areas.

The role requires phlebotomy certification or training, flexibility for evenings and travel between sites, and a commitment to patient privacy and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• High School diploma or equivalent may be required dependent on state regulatory requirements.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• Position may require DHS Fingerprinting Certification or the ability to obtain fingerprint certification.
• Valid state driver’s license and eligibility for company auto insurance.
• Float positions require travel to multiple locations and flexible hours.
• Must be available for weekends, evenings and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Specimen collection and proper labeling.
• Enter and verify patient demographics and tests requested in the system.
• Prepare samples for transport and assist with initial processing.
• Maintain accuracy, quality, and documentation per site protocol.
• Assist in reducing costs and improving service through efficient use of supplies.
