Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus is seeking a dedicated phlebotomy technician to perform approved specimen collection procedures and point-of-care testing in the Clinical Laboratory department. You will educate patients and families about tests, support special projects, and help with lab sample processing in a pediatric setting.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of phlebotomy or related experience (or completion of a Phlebotomy/Medical

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of Phlebotomy or other relevant Clinical Lab specimen collection experience OR completion of a Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program
Preferred: Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification

Responsibilities

Perform specimen collection procedures and point-of-care testing; educate patients and families about tests.
Act as patient advocate, provide information and emotional support; ensure courteous communication.
Collaborate with team to meet goals; share knowledge and support colleagues.
Pursue continuing education and mandatory training; apply knowledge to improve practice.
Maintain compliance with policies and safety standards in the lab.
