Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years phlebotomy or clinical lab specimen collection experience or completion of a phlebotomy or MA program.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy or MA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform approved specimen collection procedures and point-of-care testing.
• Provide education and information to patients and families about tests and specimens.
• Assist in projects, evaluations, experiments or research as needed.
• Act as patient advocate and meet patient/family needs with courteous service.
• Collaborate with others to achieve goals and promote a professional work environment.
• Maintain currency through continuing education and mandatory trainings.
• Understand and comply with policies, guidelines, and accreditation standards.
