Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in North Bergen, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist II for part-time hours Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The role requires three years of phlebotomy experience, data entry skills, and reliable transportation. High school diploma and medical training are preferred; certification is preferred in some states.

English communication is required. Responsibilities include specimen collection, processing, and data entry, with a focus on accurate orders, billing, and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, filing, phones, emails.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
