Job summary

Englewood Health in Englewood, NJ seeks a Lab Assistant Per Diem Evenings for every other Saturday. The role processes orders and specimens, registers patients, and manages reference lab testing while printing results and reports for Medical Staff.

The position supports outreach by registering specimens, contacting clients, and ensuring timely transmission of orders and results across laboratory systems.

Qualifications

• Registers patient specimens into Hospital Computer System and enters demographic/insurance information.
• Orders laboratory tests as indicated on requisitions.
• Assists with outside client communication and specimen pickups.

Responsibilities

• Registers patient specimens and manages order entry in hospital systems.
• Coordinates with courier for specimen pickups and outside labs.
• Receives and processes results, reports to physicians, and prints patient reports.
• Answers calls promptly, provides information to medical staff and clients.
