Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 0-2 years of laboratory experience.
• Proficient in one specialty area (Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank or Microbiology).
• Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• At least 2 years of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports routine and specialized testing in CLIA-compliant laboratory areas.
• Operates complex laboratory equipment; performs calibration and maintenance.
• Ensures accuracy by following SOPs and correlating clinical data.
• Performs quality control and proficiency testing per policy.
• Prepares stains, reagents, and slides for microscopy as needed.
• Communicates critical results promptly to nursing and physicians.
• Assists in teaching staff and students as needed.
• Maintains safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
• Participates in inventory and housekeeping duties.
• Adheres to regulatory health assessments and standards.
