Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks a Transporter to move patients across the hospital facilities and support nursing staff. The role requires handling transportation logistics, equipment, and coordination with care teams.

Full-time position with evening shifts and non-rotating hours available. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification, with preferred clinical care experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to prioritize and report observed changes in patient condition or behavior to RN.
• Experience in clinical care setting preferred.
• The ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Skills in talking to others to effectively convey information.

Responsibilities

• Transports patient to and from locations in the hospital.
• Organizes and distributes schedules, maintains transportation supplies, assists on nursing units when available.
