Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a compassionate Care Team Associate to join our Transport Services team. You will support nursing and clinical staff, assist with patient transfers, and help ensure a seamless patient care experience in a fast-paced environment.

Evening and weekend shifts are required, with 20 to 25 hours per week. A customer-focused, team-oriented approach and the ability to follow detailed instructions are essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing/ancillary staff in patient transfers.
• Educate and train new staff on the Care Team Associate role.
• Perform duties in routine and emergent situations as directed by nursing staff.
• Enter information promptly into bed-management systems.
• Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to tests, transfers, or discharges.
• Move and manage infusion pumps and ensure equipment is clean and available.
• Deliver and exchange medical gases as needed.
• Stock and clean medical carts.
• May function as equipment/inventory technician for respiratory care equipment.
• Complete unit/department duties as outlined.
