Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking a Transporter to move patients within our hospital campuses. The role supports patient flow and requires clear communication with nursing staff and other caregivers.

The transporter will work evening shifts, 36 hours per week, with an every-other-weekend rotation as indicated. A HS diploma and BLS are required, and prior clinical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Ability to prioritize and report observed changes in patient condition or behavior to RN.
• Experience in clinical care setting preferred.
• The ability to listen and understand information presented verbally.
• Strong communication and information conveyance skills.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from locations within the hospital.
• Organizes and distributes schedules and maintains transportation supplies.
• Assists on nursing units when available.
