Geisinger Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter for the evenings shift. The role involves moving patients and equipment across hospital and clinic settings, ensuring safe, compassionate transport and accurate patient identification.

No clinical license is required, with a focus on teamwork and patient-facing service. This position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a minimum hourly hiring rate of $15.25, and shift differentials for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work with confidentiality and follow policies.

Responsabilités

• Transports patients and equipment throughout the hospital and clinics.
• Assist with patient transfers and movements using proper body mechanics.
• Transport patients, belongings and equipment to designated departments.
• Maintain wheelchair availability and transport equipment readiness.
• Identify patients accurately and communicate transport destination to patients.
• Use the technology system for assigning and tracking transports.
