Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Hospital Attendant-Patient Transporter for the Full-Time Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). You will transport patients and supplies across the hospital, ensuring courteous service. Required: ability to perform medium to heavy physical labor; preferred: High School Diploma and hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital.
• Locate equipment during retrieval to replenish inventory.
• Transport the deceased to the hospital morgue.
• Wash equipment in the Transport Services area.
• Assist with dispatch by answering phones and logging calls.
• Deliver computerized reports, supplies, and Medical Records as scheduled.
• Ensure services are performed efficiently and address issues.
