Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Concierge for the evenings to enhance the patient and family experience. The role greets patients and visitors, provides wayfinding, answers questions, and serves as a liaison between visitors and hospital departments to ensure prompt, professional service.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, 1–2 years in customer service/hospitality, and strong communication and computer skills (MS Office).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of Customer Service/Hospitality experience (Hospital, Hotel, Retail, Customer Experience).
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel).
• Strong customer service and hospitality skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides a warm, friendly greeting to patients, families and visitors upon arrival/departure.
• Provides wayfinding services to various hospital locations.
• Answers questions at the lobby desk and routes calls to appropriate areas.
• Informs patients and families of hospital services and amenities; initiates service recovery when necessary.
• Anticipates needs, answers questions, and collaborates with Patient Relations for issue resolution.
• Maintains lobby appearance and supports other duties as assigned.
