Job summary

Allina Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant to support patient care in our Saint Paul facility. Under RN supervision, you will assist with feeding, bathing, grooming, and mobility, and you may perform phlebotomy per lab delegation.

The role emphasizes compassionate, safe care and timely response to patient needs. Requirements include being 18+, and either CNA training, CNA program completion, or six months of CNA experience, with preference for high school diploma.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
Six months of nursing assistant experience OR Successful completion of CNA program OR Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

Assists with personal care: feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving and transporting patients, changing linens
Collects and documents vital signs and observations; may perform phlebotomy as delegated
Assists RN with admission, transfer or discharge; participates in hourly rounding and room turnover
Performs lab tests or point-of-care tests as required; transports medications within the site as needed
