Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in healthcare or business administration preferred.
• Outpatient/Admissions: minimum 3 years customer service experience.
• Current Jefferson Seamless Access Representatives with 1 year experience meet this requirement.
• Strong verbal and written communication; meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff per Jefferson values.
• Gathers demographic information to identify Jefferson patients with existing or new medical records.
• Requests photo ID and insurance cards; scans copies as needed.
• Uses Real Time Eligibility and payer websites to verify insurance coverage and benefits.
• Ensures referrals and authorizations are on file as required.
• Completes activities with adherence to departmental protocols and compliance requirements.
• Rotates assignment to all Patient Access points: Outpatient Registration and ED.
