Jefferson Health seeks an experienced Patient Access Representative to register patients for outpatient visits, verify demographics and insurance, and collect patient liabilities. You will interview patients, search for correct records, and ensure referrals and authorizations are on file while supporting a positive patient experience.

The role requires strong communication, familiarity with EPIC/Cerner systems, and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ED patient access/customer service.
• Registration experience in emergency department preferred.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Identify uninsured patients for charity care evaluation.
• Verify insurance and obtain referrals or authorizations as needed.
• Answer phones for outpatient visits and schedule/enter orders when appropriate.
• Enter orders and confirm medical necessity for outpatient visits.
