Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Representative for Lansdale, PA.

Hours: Mon-Fri 6a-10a and every 5th or 6th Saturday 8a-1p. The role registers patients, gathers demographic and insurance information, verifies coverage, and screens uninsured patients for Medical Assistance/Charity Care.

You will answer phones for outpatient visits and lift up to 25 lbs in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 3 years of customer service experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive patient experience during registration and check-in.
• Gather accurate demographic and insurance information from patients and families.
• Identify uninsured patients for referral to Medical Assistance/Charity Care evaluation.
• Answer phones for outpatient visits and schedule appointments.
• Verify insurance coverage, referrals, and authorizations.
