Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and insurance required.
• ICD-10 coding preferred.
• 1-2 years healthcare and 1-2 years customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families, register outpatients and inpatients, and direct inquiries.
• Obtain demographics, insurance information, and required authorizations.
• Explain billing requirements and assist with deposits and payments at point of service.
• Use multiple systems (TeleTracking, Cerner, Amnion, IDX) to register and track records.
• Support department goals, ensure HIPAA compliance, and provide quality customer service.
