Job summary

RiseMe is hiring a Patient Registration Specialist for Evening hours (0.6 FTE). You will obtain and verify patient demographics and insurance information, enter data into the EHR, and verify eligibility.

The role involves collaborating with patients and insurers to resolve issues and ensure accurate billing information. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associate or bachelor's degree, and at least one year of customer service experience in a healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• One year or more of customer service experience.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of group health plans and government health plans preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literacy and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment.
• Teamwork, adaptability, and dependability.
• Maintain professional communication and confidentiality.
• Meet attendance and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtain/verify patient demographic and insurance data and enter into the EHR.
• Verify insurance eligibility to ensure active coverage for date of service.
• Identify and resolve insurance discrepancies to prevent claim issues.
• Communicate with patients and internal/external contacts to resolve issues.
• Identify patient balances and explain balance sources at a basic level.
• Perform scheduling, check-in, or prescreening as location requires.
• Maintain data integrity and adhere to compliance requirements.
• Attend operational huddles and teamwork with other departments.
