Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus seeks a patient access coordinator to support multiple departments, performing reception, pre-registration, registration, and admitting tasks. You will assist with cash collection and patient education while maintaining accurate records.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment. High school diploma required; CHAA certification preferred; evening shifts available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Registration training program completed; CHAA certification preferred.
• Healthcare office experience and medical terminology knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Reception, pre-registration and registration duties for patients.
• Cash collection and admitting responsibilities in multiple departments.
• Provide patient/department support and education as needed.
• Materials and inventory management within the unit.
• Support the patient flow and unit operations as required.
