Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus, part of Valley Health System, is seeking a patient access associate to support inpatient and outpatient services. The role covers reception, pre-registration, registration, admitting and patient education across multiple departments.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, healthcare experience, and strong English communication. Training and CHAA certification are preferred, with a Monday–Friday evening shift and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Registration training program completed; CHAA certification preferred.
• Healthcare experience, medical terminology knowledge, strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at reception and pre-registration.
• Handle registration, cash collection and admitting tasks.
• Provide patient/department support and education.
• Assist with materials, inventory management and unit tasks.
