Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus is seeking a Patient Access Associate to support the Admission/Registration workflow across inpatient, outpatient, and ED areas. Responsibilities include reception, pre-registration, cash collection, and patient education, with unit-specific tasks as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), CHAA preferred, strong communication, attention to detail, and 50–60 wpm typing.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and writing skills; ability to articulate with proper spelling and grammar.
• Typing/Keyboarding 50-60 wpm at a minimum.
• Medical office experience preferred; healthcare terminology knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide reception, pre-registration, registration, cash collection, admitting, and patient/department support across departments.
• Assist with materials/inventory management and patient education; perform unit-specific tasks as required.
