Job summary

BioLife is seeking a part-time plasma donor screener in Grand Rapids, MI. The role includes welcoming donors, performing screening, and phlebotomy to support center operations, with shifts in the evenings and on weekends.

You will use the Donor Information System, maintain donor records, and coordinate donor compensation while ensuring safety and quality. A flexible schedule is encouraged, with paid training and benefits guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays availability.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift up to 5 lbs. and occasionally up to 32 lbs. with rare 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing equipment from distance.
• 90% of tasks require glove wear due to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ year in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, focusing on donor safety.
• Screen donors and record vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational improvements and initiate changes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
