Job summary

Lake Forest Academy seeks an Environmental Services Attendant for part-time hours, Monday through Friday 3:00-8:00 PM with occasional weekends. Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour and the position does not include benefits.

Responsibilities include cleaning offices, dorms, classrooms and common areas while adhering to safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a proven record of reliability, be able to work with minimal supervision, and perform physically demanding cleaning

Qualifications

• Proven record of professionalism, initiative, flexibility, and dependability.
• Able to work without supervisory assistance, while knowing the appropriate time to ask for help.
• Willing to perform manual tasks through long periods of standing, lifting, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and grasping.
• Willing to perform repetitive motions and lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to learn and use established techniques for efficient, compliant completion of duties.
• Ability to maintain a professional relationship with coworkers and others.

Responsibilities

• Cleans offices, residents’ rooms, dorms, classrooms, schools, common areas, restrooms, halls, food service areas and any other areas that may require attention.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polishes floors and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
• Cleans light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and coverings.
• Properly and safely uses cleaning chemicals per manufacturer and standards.
• Empties trash and garbage containers.
• May shampoo carpets or buff and polish floors with mechanical equipment.
