Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU in the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. The role is evening shift with a 36-hour work week, primarily in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

Pay ranges from $48.29 to $67.04 per hour, with on-call responsibilities. Candidates must hold an active NJ RN license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with experience in perioperative or critical care and EPIC EMR familiarity.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year of perioperative or critical care patient care experience.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to support timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately for next care steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and effective communication across teams.
• Support long-term career growth through ongoing education and resources.
