Job summary

Toms River Surgery Center is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia. The role supports safety, privacy, and comfort, while collaborating with physicians and the PACU team.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited RN qualification, NJ license, BLS/ACLS, and preferably 2 years PACU/CCU experience. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU, with continuous evaluation of condition and safety.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide total care from anesthesia recovery through discharge planning and family education.
