Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Surgical Tech for Labor & Delivery on a PRN Night shift at North Fulton Hospital. The Senior Surgical Technologist supports the healthcare team with advanced skills, sterile technique, and patient safety in a high-acuity environment.

The role includes assisting with instrument preparation, maintaining sterile fields, and mentoring staff as needed. Minimum education and certs are required; 5 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of surgical tech experience.
• Valid BLS certification; CST/TS-C/NCCC T/CSFA certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a high-acuity labor and delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for procedures using appropriate cards.
• Sets up sterile table and instruments for the procedure.
• Maintains sterile technique and assists surgeon during case.
• Passes instruments to surgeon and tracks counts.
• Prepares room and assists with post-procedure cleanup.
