Job summary

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Illinois required.
• One year of professional nursing experience.
• BSN (or higher) from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR and/or unit-specific certifications.
• ACLS current or within 6 months of hire for main hospital.
• ANCC certification or relevant area within 6 months of hire.
• Two years of experience in a clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and related unit activities on an assigned shift.
• Coordinate daily assignments and staff scheduling.
• Direct nursing service of an assigned unit and implement patient care plans.
• Act as a resource for unit personnel and aid in policy questions.
• Participate in quality improvement and staff education initiatives.
• Ensure timely patient admission and discharge through workflow management.
• Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
