Job summary

The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) is seeking an ANIII of Patient Care Services in Chicago to oversee 24/7 operations within the Operating Room. You will collaborate with leadership to ensure high-quality, safe patient care, staff development, and efficient patient flow during evenings.

Requirements include RN licensure in Illinois, 3 years of nursing experience (or 2 years with advanced degree), BSN/MSN, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Illinois RN license required.
• 3 years nursing experience (or 2 years with advanced education) and a BSN/MSN.
• Current CPR certification or unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to engage staff toward department and organizational goals.
• Provide clinical guidance during staffing and assist in resource planning.
• Participate in staff training and development to ensure clinical knowledge is up-to-date.
• Monitor quality indicators and ensure compliance with standards.
• Direct and review work of nursing personnel within department.
• Address grievances and disciplinary matters as needed.
• Engage with physicians, nurses, and management to coordinate care and resources.
• Perform related duties and participate in special projects.
