Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing required or equivalent.
Current Iowa nursing license or eligible for license upon hire.
3+ years nursing leadership experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience promoting inclusive, welcoming work environments.
Proficient in computer software applications.
Certification in a nursing role or specialty; pursuit encouraged if not current.

Responsibilities

Lead nursing staff to ensure safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
Monitor unit budget and analyze variances to guide actions.
Implement HR and leave policies per CBAs and guidelines.
Allocate resources to meet quality and productivity goals; drive patient satisfaction improvements.
Provide progress reports to nursing leadership on goal attainment.
Advocate unit needs to healthcare leaders and enable multidisciplinary problem solving.
Educate and mentor staff; support education of students in training.
Encourage evidence-based practice and incorporation of best practices.
