UI Health in Chicago, IL is seeking an Administrative Nurse I (Hospital Operating Room) for evening shifts. The role directs patient care and unit activities on an assigned shift, ensuring quality care and coordination among staff.

The administrator leads daily staffing, coordinates patient care plans, and may serve as Charge Nurse. Requires Illinois RN licensure, BSN, BLS/CPR, ACLS or within 6 months, and preferred OR experience.

Formación

• Illinois RN licensure required.
• BSN or higher from an accredited program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• ACLS certification, or within 6 months of hire.
• ANCC certification relevant to unit, or within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and update the patient plan of care with input from family.
• Advocate for patients, families, and the nursing team.
• Integrate best practices to deliver quality patient care.
• Identify learning needs and pursue professional development.
• Assist with unit-based quality and staff education initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of all patients’ status to guide care.
• Act as Charge Nurse when assigned and supervise staff.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure timely admissions/discharges.
• Address issues and participate in problem-solving.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Conocimientos

RN licensure

BLS/CPR

1 year nursing experience

2 years related experience

Operating Room experience

Charge nurse experience

ANCC certification prospect
