Qualifications

• Illinois RN license and eligibility.
• 3 years of nursing experience, or 2 years plus 1 year advanced education.
• Bachelor's or Master's in nursing required.
• ANCC certification or eligibility within 6 months.
• Current CPR and/or unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to promote high quality, safe patient care and maximize patient flow.
• Provide clinical guidance during staffing and assist in resource planning.
• Participate in staff development and training to ensure knowledge is shared.
• Evaluate data to identify delays and trends affecting patient care and problems.
• Direct and review work of nursing staff and supervisors.
• Prepare formal responses to grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Participate in reviewing quality indicators and ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain regular communication with physicians, nurses and management on resource decisions.
• Perform related duties and participate in special projects.
