Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse activities, ensuring safe, on-time handling of freight and efficient workflows. The role emphasizes coaching frontline teams, coordinating shifts, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires 3+ years in warehouse operations, a valid forklift certification or ability to obtain it, and proficiency with WMS/TMS/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in warehouse or distribution with supervisory experience.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• Strong communication and safety compliance focus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping and yard activities.
• Prioritize workload to meet service, quality, safety and productivity targets.
• Ensure safe handling of inventory and equipment with timely dispatch.
• Monitor labor, equipment use and workflow for efficiency.
• Lead safety initiatives and enforce SOPs and change controls.
• Support audits, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Coach and develop frontline staff and support training needs.
