Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks an Operating Engineer for on-site duties in Houston. The role focuses on maintaining mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, with an evening schedule and rotating shifts.

You’ll manage work orders, perform preventive maintenance and support safety and training programs to ensure reliable building operations. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in maintenance, a valid license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Stationary third grade License.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use ladders up to 30 ft.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting and driving as required.
• Strong customer service skills and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Maintain the CMMS work orders and respond to tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections as assigned.
• Assist in safety and training programs and participate in on-call or emergency responses.
• Tackle general maintenance tasks including painting, lighting and plumbing.
