Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems at a New York City site. The role involves a 3pm–11pm Monday–Friday schedule and on-site presence.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in related maintenance work; trade or college credentials; universal CFC EPA certification and appropriate Certificates of Fitness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Trade school, union training, military service, or college degree required.
• Universal CFC EPA certification and Certificates of Fitness Q-01/Q-99, A-35, P-98, S-12/S-13/S-14 are expected.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance.
• Maintain CMMS work order system daily and respond to tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections; support on-call or emergency responses.
• Troubleshoot building systems including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in ongoing training.
