Job summary

Providence is seeking a Patient Admissions Coordinator for full-time evening on-site work. Under the direction of the PAS supervisor/manager, the Patient Access Representative assists patients during on-site registration and arrival, collecting demographics, insurance information, and patient liability at the time of service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Healthcare or Business Administration is required.
• At least 3 years of patient access experience.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• Knowledge of medical billing codes.
• At least 1 year of Epic Applications experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Collect accurate demographic and insurance information and patient liability at the time of service; complete financial clearance for assigned accounts.
• Greet patients professionally and maintain a courteous, compliant service attitude.
• Document information timely and accurately per regulatory guidelines.
