Job summary

Strayer University seeks an experienced Adjunct Faculty member to teach an online undergraduate LPN class for the upcoming quarter, starting Q1 2027. Courses run 12 weeks, typically one evening per week from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The role blends teaching with mentorship, supporting diverse learning styles and building a strong faculty-student community. Applicants must have an MSN, active RN license, and at least 2 years of nursing bedside experience; 2+ years in online teaching is preferred.

Qualifications

MSN degree from an accredited institution.
Active RN license with Washington DC license required upon hire.
Minimum 2 years nursing bedside experience.
Minimum 2 years teaching in a nursing online program preferred.
Experience with online teaching technology and curricula.

Responsibilities

Teach online courses from a pre-designed curriculum with high-quality instruction.
Enhance curriculum with technology and videos.
Utilize the online learning platform to enrich student learning.
Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours for timely feedback.
Establish high evaluation standards and adhere to university policies.
Attend faculty meetings, trainings, and workshops as required.
