Strayer University, part of Strategic Education, Inc., is seeking an online Adjunct Faculty member to teach an undergraduate LPN course for the upcoming quarter starting Q1 2027. Classes run 12 weeks, typically one evening per week from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with online support, feedback, and office hours.

Applicants must hold a Master of Science in Nursing, active RN license (Washington DC license required on hire), and at least 2 years of bedside nursing experience.

We are currently in search of a passionate professor for an online undergraduate level LPN specific class for the upcoming quarter, starting Q1 2027 . Our classes are on a 12-week quarter schedule and typically run one evening per week from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.Strayer Adjunct Faculty are not just instructors, they are also coaches and mentors. We believe in a strong faculty-student relationship and building a community in the classroom.NOTE: Applications must include copies of unofficial transcripts to receive full consideration.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum through the use of technology and videos.Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience.Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.Adhere to University policies and procedures.Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.Job Skills:Effectively communicate with all levels of the University.Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to manage potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner.Work Experience:Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a nursing online program preferred.Minimum of 2 years nursing experience at the bedside required.Education:All degrees must be conferred and from an accredited institution to be considered.Master of Science in Nursing requiredCertificates, licenses, and registrations:Active, unencumbered RN license.Will require an additional Washington DC license upon hire.Other:No travel.Must be able to lift 1 lb.Mobility within the office includes movement from floor to floor.Access information using a computer.Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.Effectively cope with stressful situations.Strong mental acuity.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.$2,300-$2,600 is the expected starting pay per online assignment for this position per quarter and $3,000 is the expected starting pay per on campus assignment for this position per quarter. If your location is near a campus, on campus teaching may be required.
