Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Inpatient Oncology Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, ensuring safety and quality across the care team.

The ideal candidate holds Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS (ACLS preferred), and a BSN is highly preferred; demonstrates thorough nursing knowledge and the ability to assess, plan, and coordinate care from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing license and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS current/certification preferred.
• BSN in Nursing preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the nursing discipline.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care in the unit.
• Delegates appropriately according to job description and competency.
