Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse to deliver and manage direct patient care using the Nursing Process from admission through discharge. The role includes patient assessment and coordinating discharge planning within the assigned unit.

The position requires Massachusetts nursing licensure and BLS, with ACLS in select areas. A signing bonus may be available; hours are day shift, on-site in Worcester, MA.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification is required for every RN.
• ACLS is required in select areas within 6 months or sooner (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency.
