Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge in a patient-care setting.

The role requires Massachusetts nursing licensure, active BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable by unit. A BSN is highly preferred, with strong knowledge of nursing best practices and patient safety emphasized across all units.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required in select areas and within set timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Use the Nursing Process to plan, deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments per standard procedures.
• Develop and coordinate individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegate tasks to others according to job description and competency.
