Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist is seeking a Nurse Technician for the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (6North). This full-time Evening shift (3:30 PM–12:00 AM) involves direct bedside care and collaboration with registered nurses to support patients and families.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Nurse Technician or Medical Assistant program, and current BCLS certification. Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant program with documentation.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with turning, lifting, and positioning patients as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment and support bedside care.
