New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist is seeking an experienced Nurse Technician for the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (6North). This full-time evening position provides bedside care under RN supervision, delivering compassionate support to patients and families while helping maintain a safe, clean unit.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in related roles, complete nursing assistant or tech programs, and hold current BCLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician/Medical Assistant experience in healthcare.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician program or Nursing Assistant program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.

This position is a full-time evening shift (3:30PM-midnight), 3 weekends per month located at New York-Presbyterian\\Brooklyn Methodist. **Preferred Criteria*** Minimum one year experience as Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting **Required Criteria*** High school diploma or GED* Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program, with documentation of completion* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to lift, move, and position patients of all weights with varying amounts of assistance in a fair manner on a regular and recurring basis including dexterity of fingers, hands, arms and feet with sensory requirements of speech, touch, vision and hearing to normal range with corrections.Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
