Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist is seeking a Nurse Technician for the 6North Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. This full-time night position (11:45PM-7:45AM) serves patients and families with compassionate bedside care on a busy unit.

Under RN supervision, you will assist with essential care tasks, ensure safety and cleanliness, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on high-quality patient care in a respected hospital system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant program with documentation.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with patient comfort, safety, and basic monitoring in a psychiatric ICU.
• Engage with patients and families to improve the patient experience.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment on a fast-paced unit.
