Job summary

The Bostonian, a 121-bed skilled nursing facility in Dorchester, MA, seeks an Evening Nurse Supervisor (3pm-11pm) to oversee clinical staff and admissions.

You will supervise nurses and CNAs, mentor staff, coordinate referrals, and ensure high-quality resident care. Must hold RN or LPN license with CPR; prior supervisory experience preferred; benefits include health insurance, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid unencumbered LPN or RN state license and CPR certification.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting.
• Experience in supervision and teaching, and computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges
• Supervise and mentor nurses and CNAs, to foster growth and learning in clinical team
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions
• Ensure high-quality resident/patient care
• Provide support to ancillary staff as needed

Requirements for Nursing Supervisor:

• Must possess valid unencumbered, LPN or RN State License and current CPR certification
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• One year of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting.
• Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
