Job summary

The Bostonian, a 121-bed skilled nursing facility in Dorchester near public transportation, is seeking a full-time Night Working Nursing Supervisor for 11 PM–7 AM. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities include supervising nurses and CNAs, welcoming admissions, coordinating referrals, managing staffing changes, and supporting families.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid unencumbered LPN or RN Massachusetts State License and current CPR certification.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience; at least one year in long-term care.
• Experience in supervision and teaching principles; computer skills.
• Experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing strongly preferred.

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges.
• Supervise nurses and CNAs.
• Manage staffing changes.
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors.
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions.
• Ensure high-quality resident/patient care.
• Provide support to ancillary staff as needed.

Requirements for Nursing Supervisor:

• Must possess valid unencumbered, LPN or RN Massachusetts State License and current CPR certification


• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university


• Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting preferred. -Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care


• Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills


• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred
