Job summary

The Bostonian Nursing Care & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Every Other Weekend Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and admissions in our Boston, MA facility. The role requires supervising nurses and CNAs, managing staffing, and coordinating with admissions to ensure quality resident care.

Requirements include MA RN or LPN license with CPR certification, a nursing degree, and at least two years of clinical nursing experience (one year in long-term care).

Qualifications

• Must have MA LPN/RN license and CPR certification.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience with at least one year in long-term care.
• Experience in supervision, teaching and computer skills.
• Experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges.
• Supervise nurses and CNAs.
• Manage staffing changes.
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors.
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions.
• Ensure high-quality resident/patient care.
• Provide support to ancillary staff as needed.

Requirements for Nursing Supervisor

• Must possess valid unencumbered, LPN/RN MA License and current CPR certification
• Registered Nurse (preferred)
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting. Must have minimum of one year experience in long-term care.
• Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
