Job summary

The Bostonian is seeking an Evening (3pm-11pm) Nurse Supervisor at our Boston, MA skilled nursing facility. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. The role oversees admissions, discharges, and clinical staff, while ensuring high-quality resident care and coordinating referrals.

LPN or RN license with CPR certification and a nursing degree are required, plus supervisory and teaching experience. We offer health insurance, a 403(b) plan, tuition reimbursement, referral bonuses, and shift differentials

Qualifications

• Must hold an unencumbered LPN or RN license and CPR certification.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least one year of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or related healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges.
• Supervise and mentor nurses and CNAs; foster growth and learning.
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors.
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions.
• Ensure high-quality resident/patient care.
• Provide support to ancillary staff as needed.

Requirements for Nursing Supervisor:

• Must possess valid unencumbered, LPN or RN State License and current CPR certification
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• One year of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting.
• Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
