Agate Housing and Services seeks a dedicated Shelter Worker to join a two-site shelter team. You will handle guest intakes, monitor safety, perform rounds, and support meal service and administrative duties, contributing to a trauma-informed, respectful, and safe environment for all guests and volunteers.

The role requires flexibility to work second or third shifts, with occasional first shifts and the ability to relocate between shelter locations as needed.

Formación

• Work respectfully with guests, coworkers, and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for paperwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds routinely.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Meet government screening criteria.
• Own a smartphone for communications and data entry.

Responsabilidades

• Perform intakes for new shelter guests and monitor safety.
• Answer and direct calls, monitor entrances, and manage guest access to shelter.
• Make rounds to ensure guest safety and calm sleeping guests; manage behavior as needed.
